Hi, I'm Judi.
A bit about me.
I didn't grow up thinking inner peace or even happiness was something you could learn. For a long time, it felt more like something you performed, a state you reached for on the outside while everything underneath stayed on high alert. I smoked, struggled with food, I was anxious, and I coped the only way my nervous system knew how, reaching for anything that offered relief in the moment, without ever addressing what was keeping the alarm switched on. I got very good at performing. It's part of what probably made me good at being a flight attendant for a few years, the person other people looked to when things got difficult, steady on the surface no matter what.
What I didn't understand then was that I was dysregulated, I just didn't have a name for it.
When I began working in occupational therapy with people adapting to physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges, I began to see, day after day, how completely body and mind were wound together, and to recognise, in my patients' journeys, something I hadn't yet found in my own.
I moved to the UK over a decade ago, and trained in Solution-Focused hypnotherapy soon after. It showed me the real power of visualisation, and gave me the chance to consolidate everything I'd learned: the pull of purpose, the strength of a regulated nervous system, and the difference between performing and actually being the best version of ourselves.
I've spent years since then building the toolkit I use with clients now, all pointed at the same goal, helping someone find the shift.

Where we'll work
Sessions happen in a peaceful, fully private treatment room here in Knutsford, or online, whichever suits you. If you're having an in person session, Tatton Park's main entrance is a short walk away, with a thousand acres of parkland, gardens, and deer, including a quiet Japanese garden that's easy to lose half an hour in. There's something worth having in walking out of a session and into open space rather than straight back into your day. If you have the time afterwards, I'd encourage you to take it.
What you can expect
Our work together is grounded in acceptance without judgment, compassion, and authenticity. I take the work seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously. My philosophy has always been about finding the lightness in things, even when things seem difficult. Especially when things seem difficult. Change doesn't have to feel heavy the whole way through when we focus on the solutions instead of the problems.
